A Lifestyle Change for Your Mind
Who is this for?
If you don’t want to live your life in a perpetual state of emergency caused by uncontrolled mood cycles and you are ready to learn how to live well with bipolar disorder, join me in my monthly mentoring program, The Upsiders Tribe.
I will guide you through each step on the path to living well and teach you what has helped me go from merely surviving to thriving with bipolar disorder.
This is the “Treatment Plan” I wished I’d had 22 years ago.
Can I be honest with you?
I shouldn’t have had to figure this out for myself.
For real. It’s not like any of these tools are unique! I should have been handed a treatment program and been guided through it step by step. But that didn’t happen.
Instead I spent 12 years after my diagnosis suffering through every downside this disorder dishes out, including suicide attempts. I tried everything I was told: from hospitalizations to electro-convulsive therapy. The Works.
I spent the next 10 years figuring out the Map to Wellness. And now? I don’t have mood cycles anymore. I don’t struggle with the whiplash of mania into depression.
But let me be clear: This is a Lifestyle Change for Your Mind. And it’s a daily choice to make that lifestyle change.
I can give you the map. The tribe can be your compass. But YOU have to be the one to take the journey.
What’s Included?
Private Facebook Support Group
This group gives you access to support from other men and women, including myself, who also have bipolar disorder. It is an invaluable resource that I wish I had when I was a young adult and mother dealing with it on my own. I felt very alone and discouraged. I had people who loved me, but they didn’t understand what I was going through and it felt like pity and often made me feel worse.
This is also where you will report on your progress with the modules. It is a place for accountability and encouragement as you work through the steps in each module and learn how to make it work for you.

Breakdown of the Modules
Medication & Micronutrition
Give your brain what it needs to function optimally. Medication and Micronutrition BOTH play a role in your ongoing health on the path to wellness. Rather than choose sides, let’s bring them to the table, listen to what our body is telling us, and become our own best advocate.
Counseling
Honestly, a good therapist will become a best friend. Having someone who understands this disorder and can help you unpack all the collateral damage and destruction it wreaks is necessary. How to find a good one and how to work with them in being your own best advocate.
Meditation
A disorder that affects the mind is going to require some mental tools to keep things straight. The tough thing about this disease is that we stop trusting ourselves. Learning and implementing mindfulness meditation is crucial to staying responsible for your health and wellness.
Yoga
Combining Mindfulness with exercise teaches us to trust our mind+body again. Simple video routines for beginners to more advanced.
Exercise
Choose from basic walking workout plans or running plans. Why exercise is important and how to incorporate it when you just aren’t feeling it.
Living Mindfully
Did you know that the more to-do’s on your list, the more likely you will be to trigger a mood-swing? Use the plan to trim your tasks and remove expectations on your time and energy. You do NOT have to do it all, and you shouldn’t. From household chores, work responsibilities, and hobbies and extracurriculars, identify the Goldilocks sweet-spot - just right for you!
HOW MUCH?
For just the cost of a few lattes a month, you can learn how to stop mood-cycling in its tracks.
And you will get a lot of support and help from Michelle and the rest of the Upsider’s Tribe to stick to it.
Affordable, on purpose.
I didn’t want this to be expensive, because in order for you to be successful and live well, you’ll need to invest in micronutrition and therapy.
Is it possible? You better believe it… better yet, try it for yourself, no long-term commitment is required.
FAQ’s
I’m not a Mom. Can I still do this?
YES! This method works for men, women, teens, young adults, everyone! My children motivated me to figure out the Map to Wellness so I started out sharing with other moms who struggle like I did. Anyone with Bipolar Disorder will benefit from it!
Can I try it for a month and then cancel?
Yes, there is no long-term commitment to joining the Tribe. But we are confident once you start using the tools and changing your habits, you’ll see the value and want to keep going.
Can I complete all the modules in one month?
It will take more than a month to complete the materials. You wouldn’t quit a workout routine after one month if you really wanted to build that svelte body! Your mind is the same way. This is a Lifestyle Change for your mind and it takes time and effort to do that. But, let me tell you, it is Worth. It. 100%!
How much help will I get from Michelle and other members?
We are in the Facebook group for questions, support, and to cheer you on! If you have emergencies or need professional assistance, your therapist, counselor, or medical team are the right people to turn to. Please note that the program is still in its Beta phase, so the FB group will be growing along with the membership. You can help us create that supportive atmosphere!
